Meaning:

  • When a computer starts and the operating system appears and gets ready to work we say that it boots up.

Examples:

  1. Before booting up, I have to choose the Operating System, because I have installed two Operating system on my PC, A Linux Ubuntu and Windows 10.
  2. After booting up, the Antivirus notifies me that the new update is needed.
  3. After the update, it took a few minutes for my computer to boot up.
  4. I need to boot up my laptop before the meeting starts.
