Meaning:

• used when you want to ask someone not to talk about the thing that you are not interested in.

Examples:

1. -Why did you get divorced.
   -Hey! Please don’t go there. I don’t want to remember that.
2. I’m serious; don’t go there. It’s not the right time to discuss that.
3. Don’t go there! We’re not getting into that argument again.
4. If you bring up his past relationship, don’t go there; it’s a touchy subject.
5. I know you’re upset about the meeting, but don’t go there right now. Let’s talk about it later.
