Meaning:
- Not to arrive on a date in any reason.
Examples:
- Stan asked me out and supposed to meet me at seven o’clock for dinner, but he didn’t arrive! He stood me up!
- I was supposed to meet him for dinner, but he stood me up.
- She was excited about the date, but he stood her up without any explanation.
- I can’t believe you stood me up at the coffee shop yesterday!
